Floating Shelf Question
Hey everyone, I’m working to get some floating shelves set up in our laundry room but have ran into an obstacle. I created a ladder style support with the plan to anchor the ladder into all three walls. However the wall by the doorway does not have any studs that I can drill into. The ladder is anchored into two studs on the large wall and then one stud on the left wall. I used #10 4” screws to screw into the studs. The studs are 24 inches apart in this room. The width of the shelves will be 5 feet. I attempted to use toggle bolts on the right wall with no studs but that did not seem to do the trick and want something more support. The shelves will hold a variety of household cleaners, pots/pans, and small kitchen appliances. Is there a good way to support the right side of the wall using this style of shelving? Or is there another approach to shelving that’s recommended? Thanks for the help!
