Gap between wall and ceiling
Hi, I live in a historical listed building. The converted mill is 100 ish years old and the conversion was completed 20 years ago. We moved in a few months ago. It’s feeling a bit draughty with the cold weather and I’ve narrowed it down a bit to this area. There’s an approx 1-2cm gap between the brick and white ceiling part and I can feel cold air when reaching towards the gap. I’m on the top floor and so the roof is above me. Is this something which I could tackle on my own or should I consult someone with more expertise? I don’t really know the level of insulation in the property. I’m reluctant to blunder in with the wrong kind of expanding foam (for example) in case it makes it worse. submitted by /u/ChocoMcChunky [link] [comments]
