Green lumber?
I am redoing our porch. I have a guy that is milling some white oak 6x6 posts to be used to hold the porch up. I am going to let them set outside in the dry Kansas heat over the summer and my contractor is going to be putting them in this fall. From what I can tell, longitudinal shrinkage should be minimal for white oak so I do not think he will have issues. Is this correct? submitted by /u/veryfancycoffee [link] [comments]
