How to build a rotating crank?
I'm not even sure how to phrase the question or exactly what it is. Assume I like to fiddle but know nothing about construction or tools. What are the pieces I need to create a horizontal pole between two vertical stands/legs that can easily rotate with the help of a crank and manual power. Obviously I can just put a round pole through two round holes and there you go, but it'd be a lot of friction. What are the elements I would want in the stands and if any, on the pole? Ball bearings? Imagine a manual watermill, etc. Dumb it down and thank you in advance. :) submitted by /u/KizoziK [link] [comments]
