Medallions return in Fortnite Chapter 6’s Star Wars season (Chapter 6 Season 3? Chapter 6 Mini-season 1? What is this season named?) after being first introduced in Chapter 5 Season 1.
Two medallions are up for grabs as of the start Chapter 6 Star Wars season: the Phasma’s Blaster Medallion and the Super Shield Medallion, dropped by Captain Phasma and Shogun X respectively.
In this Fortnite guide, we’ll explain what the medallions do and where to find them in Fortnite Chapter 6 Star Wars season.
How Fortnite Chapter 6 Star Wars medallions work

Medallions are boss drops that buff you in different ways. The medallions in Fortnite Chapter 6 Star Wars season are:
- Phasma’s Blaster Medallion, dropped by Captain Phasma, improves blaster weapons by reducing heat generation and giving them faster cooldowns.
- Super Shield Medallion, dropped by Shogun X, places a Shield Bubble Jr. when you use healing items like Med Kits or Shield Potions
Medallions do not take up inventory space, as they have their own respective slot in your bag (like gold does).
To get the medallion, you’ll need to eliminate the boss NPC holding it. As you get closer to them, a large health bar will appear at the top of your screen for the respective boss.
Unlike other NPCs who are pretty easy to drop on and eliminate immediately, these NPCs all have respawning lackies that’ll fire at you once they see you. That said, it may be easier to loot up around the named locations and then head in to nab a medallion.
Luckily, the NPCs shoot like Star Wars Storm Troopers (meaning that they aim very poorly), so you shouldn’t have to worry too much about the lackeys. Focus on the boss with a decent gun and you should be able to get a medallion. Note that the boss will replenish its shield frequently, making it an annoying target.
If you see an orange or gold circle on the map, this means a player in that vicinity has a medallion, too. You can eliminate that player to take their medallion.
Medallion locations in Fortnite Chapter 6 Star Wars season

You can see the medallions (or the bosses carrying the medallions) on the map. They are at the following locations:
- Captain Phasma is hanging out on the First Order Base in the northeast of the map.
- Shogun X will show up on a floating island (Shogun’s Arena), during the fourth storm circle. The location of the floating island is random, but it’ll be within the circle.
There isn’t much to Captain Phasma. She’s just chillin’ in the base and there isn’t anything specific you have to do to find her or beat her, outside of taking out a few Stormtroopers who may be in the way. (Unlike last season’s Fletcher Kane, who needed thermite to blow up vaults and whatnot. Yeesh.)
After beating her, you’ll get Captain Phasma’s F-11D Blaster and Phasma’s Blaster Medallion.
Shogun X is the same fight as last season, though this time he doesn’t spawn randomly around the map before the fourth storm circle. Defeating Shogun X will get you the Super Shield Medallion, Chug Jug, and an Enhanced DL-44 Blaster Pistol.
