Deal alert: Points and miles travel deals for May 2025

Editor’s note: This is a recurring post, regularly updated with new information and offers. Some of the offers below may be targeted.

From bonus points on your next hotel stay to generous sales of airline miles, we’re always looking for travel deals that help you earn more points and miles and redeem them for maximum value. In other words, we want to help you book the vacation of your dreams.

This week, we found one-way flights to Europe for as low as 18,750 Flying Blue miles. For those wanting to experience a luxury camping resort, Hyatt’s Under Canvas is offering a new promotion that lets you earn 1 American Airlines mile per dollar spent. Plus, there are several new credit card transfer bonuses, including a 25% Chase transfer bonus to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club and Air France-KLM Flying Blue.

There’s also a highest-ever welcome offer on one of our favorite travel cards, the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card (see rates and fees): Earn 100,000 Ultimate Rewards points after you spend $5,000 on purchases within the first three months from account opening. That’s worth $2,050 by our April 2025 valuations.

We help our readers each week by rounding up ongoing promotions so they don’t have to scour the internet for the best reward redemptions and offers. This includes everything from frequent flyer programs and hotel rewards programs to credit card offers and rental car deals. Here’s our latest list of noteworthy new points and miles promotions for April.

Airline loyalty program promotions (May 2025)

Airline loyalty programs can offer trip discounts on certain dates as well as the chance to earn more miles for future travel and deals to rack up points toward elite status. Below are some of the best offers we found for May.

JetBlue TrueBlue is offering up to 125% bonus points

Though we typically don’t recommend buying points or miles, sometimes, airlines offer notable promotions to increase the value of your rewards. JetBlue TrueBlue is currently offering up to a 125% bonus when you buy points.

• From now through June 9, when you buy at least 13,000 TrueBlue points (note that some bonuses may be targeted at a lower point threshold), you get 125% bonus points. If you buy between 3,000 to 12,000 points, you’ll receive a 100% bonus.
• You can purchase up to 200,000 points, which means you’ll receive 250,000 bonus points for a total of 450,000 TrueBlue points for $6,450. This would give you a value of 1.43 cents per point.

TPG values TrueBlue points at 1.35 cents apiece, per our April 2025 valuations, so this isn’t a bad deal. Plus, buying points can help you save money on an award flight instead of paying the cash fare. For example, you can fly one-way in economy from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to Iceland’s Keflavik International Airport (KEF) for just 17,000 TrueBlue points plus about $102 in taxes and fees. If you bought this ticket with cash, it would cost you $491.

Instead of paying cash, you could buy 9,000 TrueBlue points and get a 100% bonus, bringing your total to 18,000 points for just $270. Considering the taxes and fees that you’ll need to pay by purchasing an award ticket, you’re saving yourself over $100 if you bought points to purchase an award flight instead of booking it directly with cash.

Hotel loyalty program promotions (May 2025)

Hotel loyalty programs occasionally offer discounted stays, ways to earn extra points and deals at various properties. Here are some April deals to consider when booking your next stay.

Earn 1,000 Hilton Honors points on your next stay

If you plan to stay at any Hilton property, the hotel is offering a new promotion called Points Plus.

• Earn 1,000 Hilton Honors points on any stay, no matter the brand or length of time.
• This promotion is valid for hotel stays between June 1 and Aug. 15, and is also valid on award stays.
• You must register for this promotion prior to your stay.

Credit card promotions (May 2025)

Card issuers sometimes offer deals and discounts for certain cardholders on everything from airfare to dining. Here are some of the offers we’ve rounded up this week. Remember that you must activate these offers on your card and use your enrolled card to make the purchase to earn bonus rewards.

Targeted Amex Offer at Auberge Resorts Collection

This Amex offer, which we found on The Platinum Card® from American Express, could help you earn 15,000 Membership Rewards points.

• Earn 15,000 Amex Membership Rewards points one-time after you spend a minimum of $750 on room rates or charges at participating Auberge Resorts between March 17 to July 17.

Targeted Amex Offer at select Hilton resorts

This Amex Offer could earn you $200 back on select Hilton resorts.

• Earn a one-time $200 statement credit when you spend at least $1,000 on one or more purchases on room rate and room charges at select Hilton resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean.
• This offer ends June 30.

Targeted Chase Offer on Chase Travel℠

This Chase offer, which we found on the Chase Sapphire Reserve® (see rates and fees), could earn you $100 cash back.

• Earn a one-time statement credit of $100 when you spend a minimum of $600 on purchases made through the Chase Travel portal.
• Multiple transactions totaling $600 do not qualify for this offer.
• Qualifying transactions must be made by July 29.

Ongoing travel deals

In addition to these new offers, many others from previous weeks are still available:

• Earn double tier miles on all eligible flights marketed and operated by Emirates or Flydubai (EK or FZ flight numbers). Register and book by May 4; travel between May 1 and June 20.
• Enjoy complimentary access to the Sky Hub Lounge at Incheon International Airport (ICN) with the purchase of eligible Korean Air flights to Southeast Asia on koreanair.com. Book by May 31 and travel by Aug. 31; you must claim your lounge access by May 31.
• Earn double Marriott Bonvoy points on paid Marriott Homes & Villas stays of three or more nights. Register and book by May 4; the offer applies to stays between May 1 and Sept. 30.
• Receive a $50 Best Western gift card when you stay two nights between now and May 11 at any Best Western hotel in the U.S., Canada or the Caribbean. You can use this promotion up to two times for a maximum of two $50 gift cards per member. Gift cards will expire Aug. 3.
• Earn double base points on all qualifying stays at participating Choice hotels, excluding WoodSpring Suites, Mainstay Suites, Everhome Suites and Suburban Studios. Register first, then book and stay by May 14.
• Earn 2,000 bonus Marriott Bonvoy points per night — up to a maximum of 10,000 bonus points — when you stay at one of six New Orleans properties. Book with promo code “S2449” and complete your stay by May 15.
• Earn triple IHG One Rewards points on every eligible paid stay in Germany. Register and book directly by May 31, then complete your stay(s) by July 6.
• Earn 777 bonus World of Hyatt points per eligible night, up to 10 nights total, at 20 participating casino hotels and resorts worldwide. Register first, then stay by June 9.
• Earn up to 15,000 bonus Marriott Bonvoy points per stay of five or more nights at participating Domes Resorts in Greece and Portugal. Book with promo code S2449 by June 20 for stays until June 25.
• Earn 20% bonus Accor Live Limitless points on qualifying bookings you make through the app by June 30. Download the app.
• Earn up to 1,500 bonus HawaiianMiles on car rentals at participating Avis and Budget locations in the U.S. when you add your HawaiianMiles number to your reservation at booking and complete your rental by July 31. For Avis, book with Avis Worldwide Discount code “A368908” and coupon code “MUAA023.” For Budget, use Budget Customer Discount code “R901009” and coupon code “MUAZ036.”
• Earn double Accor Live Limitless points on stays at participating properties in Canada, the U.S., Mexico, the Caribbean, Panama and Brazil. Activate this offer and book by July 31, and you’ll earn bonus points on stays through Sept. 12.

Additionally, many stand-alone Amex and Chase offers are still available across a variety of credit cards. Keep in mind that these offers are targeted; you also need to activate them prior to making an eligible purchase to receive cash back, bonus points or miles.

• Earn a $25 statement credit when you spend a minimum of $125 on one or more purchases on room rate and room charges at participating Staypineapple properties. Complete your stay by Oct. 14.
• Earn a one-time $100 statement credit when you spend at least $500 on one or more purchases on room rate and room charges at select Raffles and Fairmont hotels in the Americas and Europe. You can use this offer up to three times, for a maximum total of $75 back. This offer ends May 14.
• Earn a one-time $60 statement credit when you spend at least $300 on one or more room rate and room charge purchases at participating Viceroy Hotels and Resorts in U.S. cities. Book through Viceroy’s website by May 5.
• Earn a one-time $300 statement credit when you spend at least $1,500 on one or more room rate and room charge purchases at participating Viceroy Hotels and Resorts in the U.S. and Mexico. Book through Viceroy’s website by May 5.
• Earn an extra 5 Membership Rewards points per eligible dollar spent (up to 50,000 bonus points) on your AmaWaterways purchase. This offer ends May 6.
• Earn a one-time $100 statement credit when you spend a minimum of $500 on a single purchase on room rate and room charge purchases at participating Mandarin Oriental properties in the U.S. and Europe by May 6.
• Earn a one-time $100 statement credit when you spend a minimum of $400 on one or more room rate and room charge purchases at participating SLS Hotels in the U.S. and select global locations. Prepaid bookings are excluded. Book through the SLS website by May 14.

• Earn one promotional free day with National Emerald Club (covers base rate, time and mileage only) for every two eligible midsize or larger vehicle rentals of at least two consecutive days. Register and complete your qualifying rentals by June 22.
• Earn a one-time $100 statement credit when you spend at least $500 on one or more room rate and room charge purchases at participating Preferred Hotels & Resorts in the U.S. and globally. Book by June 23.
• Earn a one-time $200 statement credit when you spend $1,000 in one or more purchases on room rate and room charges at participating Hilton properties in Mexico and the Caribbean by June 30. See participating properties (PDF link).
• Earn 8% back as a statement credit (up to $100 maximum in total statement credits) after you make one or more purchases of prepaid hotel bookings (“pay now”) online at hotels.com/amex. This offer ends July 7.
• Earn 12% back (up to $350 in total statement credits) on Luxury Escapes bookings made through the Luxury Escapes website, app or phone line. This offer ends July 15.
• Get a one-time $400 statement credit when you spend a minimum of $2,000 in one or more purchases on safari reservations at Micato Safaris. Book by phone at 1-800-642-2861 by Oct. 14.

Targeted Chase Offers

• Earn $30 cash back when you spend $150 or more in a single purchase with car-sharing service Turo, including taxes and after any discounts, by May 23.
• Earn 10% cash back on your Candlewood Suites stay (up to a $62 cash back maximum) when you spend $100 or more. You must make the payment directly with the merchant by May 31.
• Earn 10% cash back on your Crowne Plaza stay (up to a $62 cash back maximum) when you spend $100 or more directly with the hotel by May 31.
• Earn 7% cash back on your Hyatt Place stay, up to a $28 cash-back maximum, when you spend $100 or more by May 31. Offer valid in-store at participating locations in the U.S. and online at the U.S. Hyatt website only.
