Runyd, the Watcher, can be found in the northeastern section of Dawnshore. However, the path to Runyd’s house is not as straightforward as it seems. To reach the Watcher, you’ll need to find a hidden path, but you can forge a new one with a little ice.
Here’s how to get to the Watcher in Avowed.
How to get to the Watcher in Avowed
For this walkthrough, start at The Rise party camp, located northeast of Paradis. It’s the closest fast travel location in Dawnshore.
To get to the Watcher, follow these steps:
- Travel to The Rise party camp.
- Cross the bridge to the north and turn toward the east to find a broken bridge.
- Freeze the water by tossing an Eye of Rymrgand ice grenade or casting a frost spell. No grenades? You can get an early frost spell by unlocking the Chill Blades ability in the wizard tree or by equipping a common grimoire of elements (found in chests or at one of the merchants in Paradis).
- Leap off of the frozen platform to mantle onto the broken bridge.
- Follow the pathway until you reach a fork in the road.
- Follow the path on the right until you reach Runyd’s House.
Once you’ve arrived, interact with the Perturbed Patron outside and head inside to meet Runyd.
