How to splice in existing neutral to a light switch.
So, I am trying to add a new light switch that needs a neutral. I opened up the existing switch and there is a neutral wire there, but it is not cut it is continuous. Can I cut and splice in a neutral wire from that to the light switch? If I can, can I simply cut that wire and add another piece of neutral wire into that to run from the switch to the neutral wire and connect it with electrical ties? submitted by /u/bakerydude2 [link] [comments]
