Installing a window fan
I am installing a window fan using a "VORNADO" brand fan. Previously i used another larger double window fan as an exhaust to push out hot hair which I taped up using black gorrila tape and boxes as a air block to create a seal. i am trying to upgrade it a b it without leaving tons of gorrila tape residue since i painted the apartment and made itr nice for my girlfriend to move in. So far I bought blocks of wood and wood sheets, the blocks are on each end of the fan to use as a wall and the sheets are replacing the cardboard which I have heat absorbing styrofoam on one side to assist in prevention of heating coming through. I am trying to figure out a solution to block off all light and hot air from coming through while using the fan to push out hot air or cooling air. https://preview.redd.it/81an793pec2f1.jpg?width=1536&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=71e6a0247d6b409deeed7586189e900e90850af0 submitted by /u/DarkKnightRasil [link] [comments]
