Insulating Bonus room over garage... Spray up from garage or down from bonus room?
I have the typical bonus room issue of being 5-10 degrees different from the rest of the house. I've already had a spray foam company come out and do the knee walls to either side, but the problem still remains. I'm thinking of gutting the room and spray foaming the whole thing. Does it make a difference if the spray foam is sprayed down onto the ceiling (drywall) of the garage vs. sprayed up onto the subfloor of the bonus room? I have 14' ceilings in the garage and it would be 3 times as much work to remove everything in there and replace the drywall than it would be to remove the carpet/subfloor in the bonus room. submitted by /u/Arlorn [link] [comments]
