Kitchen Cabinet And Island Shelves Bowing
Photos My one kitchen cabinet, the shelves bow even though I only have cups on it. They aren't that heavy. If you look at the depth of the shelf, it doesn't look like it's deep enough. There is too much space between the middle support and the back. Any time I put a plastic clip, they just fall out over time. The island obviously has much heavier stuff on it. The shelf doesn't go completely front to back. It's only about 1/2 way. There is a spot to put a clip in the middle, but again, it just falls out. Even with only 1 or 2 things on the shelf. Looking for some suggestions on how to resolve these. The cabinet, I thought about putting an L bracket. However, I don't think I can do that with the island as I don't have much to secure it in the back to support it. I don't want to see nuts, bolts, or anything else from the outside in the back.
