Loewe Relaunches Its Most Coveted Puzzle Bags Ever — These 7 Are the Holy Grail

It's been a big year for Loewe. The Spanish luxury brand had its longtime creative director Jonathan Anderson exit (and plans to welcome Proenza Schouler founders Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez in his place) after 11 years at the helm. The LVMH-owned company also hit 10 years of its customer-loved Puzzle bag, which Anderson debuted at the house earlier on in his tenure.

To celebrate this Puzzle bag milestone, Loewe released 19 re-editions of the purse and one new design. The latter is the Confetti Puzzle bag, which is embellished with a whopping thousand-plus tiny pieces of leather and sequins to bring the confetti look to life. Beyond the bags, the brand also released a limited-edition assortment of bag charms, right on trend.

With Loewe's penchant for playfulness, it should be no surprise that the re-edition bags highlight some of the most fun, artistic creations over the years. Standouts in the collection those made with artists, like Ken Price's Los Angeles sprawl (from the brand's Spring/Summer 2021 precollection). There also whimsical motifs, like a green suede Puzzle bag with playing cards on it (from Spring/Summer 2018).

The Puzzle 10 collection will be available in select brand stores starting May 29, including locations in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, and South Coast Plaza. In the Big Apple, the brand is also hosting a pop-up at Bergdorf Goodman and takeover of store’s iconic Fifth Avenue windows. The tenth-anniversary bags are not available to shop online, but the bag charms within the collection are. Each Puzzle 10 re-edition comes in a bespoke box finished with a gold foil anagram that a special jigsaw puzzle inspired by the bag. The brand also revealed a celebratory, mobile-only digital experience for fans.

Anderson's Puzzle bag design was originally inspired by Origami, to look as if it could be created by folding paper. It debuted on the Spring/Summer 2015 runway and has been a Loewe mainstay since. Especially for Loewe fans who loved Anderson's era there, these re-editions based on Anderson's various Puzzle designs offer a rare opportunity to own a piece of fashion history.
