Looking for a sensor to detect manure smell for automated ventilation control
Hey DIYers, I have a problem with my decentralized ventilation system. When a nearby farmer spreads liquid manure, the unpleasant smell gets sucked into my apartment. I’d like to install an outdoor sensor that detects the manure odor and automatically pauses my ventilation via KNX. Does a ready-made solution for this exist? If not, what kind of sensor would be best to detect the typical gases associated with manure odor? I’m thinking of integrating it with an Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
