Lorde Is Officially Going on Tour This Fall

Lorde Summer? Try Lorde Fall.

Two weeks after dropping her new single "What Was That," Lorde is ushering in her new era. The Grammy-winning singer has announced a 38-stop world tour coined the "Ultrasound World Tour," which is set to kick off in September 2025. Her fourth headlining tour is in support of her upcoming fourth studio album Virgin, scheduled to be released June 27. Supporting acts for the tour include Blood Orange, the Japanese House, Nilüfer Yanya, Chanel Beads, Empress Of, Jim-E Stack, and Oklou at selected dates.

As she often does, Lorde shared the news with fans through email saying:

"I am going on tour in support of my new album, Virgin," Lorde wrote in an email to fans. "Every show I play is a collaboration between you and me. We meet in a room and we make music together, our bodies and the machines in search of something bigger together. 12 years of meeting up and making sound that's just for us. Since last time I’ve been stripping away unnecessary layers, finding us more room to move. I think that 'Ultrasound' could be our masterpiece. Very proud and excited to be bringing my most talented friends in support."

Tickets will go on sale May 16 with pre-sale beginning May 14. "Come see what’s under the skin," she continued, ending the note.

Lorde has been laying the groundwork for her new era for quite some time. Late last month, she alerted fans to a surprise show in NYC's Washington Square Park where she played a snippet of her latest single "What Was That." Even though the impromptu event was quickly shut down by police, excitement amongst fans didn't waiver and it's serving them well now.
