Van Cleef & Arpels' Installation Is Now Ready at Rockefeller Center
April showers bring May flowers... and a whimsical experience from the French maison.

After a rainy April in New York City, Van Cleef & Arpels is bringing May flowers to the Big Apple with its Spring is Blooming at Rockefeller Center installation, which opened Saturday.
From May 3 to May 18, NYC visitors can experience the Midtown landmark as a French garden in full bloom, complete with vibrant floral illustrations from French artist Alexandre Benjamin Navet. This is Navet’s fourth collaboration with the French maison.
“I studied the structures and buildings for months while I imagined new perspectives and charming, unexpected details weaving through the public spaces, with a referential nod to a French bucolic garden, of course," the multimedia artist said in a press release. Navet’s designs, known for their sketch-like quality, will extend up to the tree branches, including birds and other natural designs. The springtime installation will complement the floral façades of Van Cleef & Arpels’ flagship location on 57th Street and its new Upper East Side boutique.
As in years past, several organizations are partnering with Van Cleef & Arpels to provide live programming on the weekends, including The New York Academy of Art, Guggenheim New York (with the Academy of American Poets), and L’Ecole, School of Jewelry Arts. The New York Academy of Art and Guggenheim New York will host the first two events on Saturday. There will also be children’s storybook readings and contemporary dance performances, with more events to be announced in the coming days.
The French maison previously set up floral installations along Fifth Avenue from 2022 to 2024, two of which were designed by Navet. The latest one brings a little joy and luster to the area, frequented by tourists and avid shoppers alike.
