Marvel Rivals season 2 patch notes – Emma Frost, new team-ups, Hellfire Gala, and more
It's felt like the wait has taken forever, but Marvel Rivals' season two is finally set to arrive with a big expansion of content for the hero shooter. Season two will add two new heroes, new maps, and a whole bunch of balancing to existing heroes and their team-ups. And, of course, a whole slate of new, beautiful skins themed around the epic Hellfire Gala for players to wear on the battlefield. Buffs Black Widow Can now directly shoot after releasing the second kick of Edge Dancer and after using Electro-Plasma Explosion. Bruce Banner/Hulk Base movement speed increased from 600 to 650. Indestructible Guard cooldown time reduced from 12 seconds to 10 seconds. Minimum charge time for Incredible Leap reduced from 0.7 seconds to 0.5 seconds. Hawkeye Slow effect while charging his bow reduced from 30 percent to 20 percent. Hypersonic Arrow damage increased from 50 to 55. Decreased energy cost for Hunter's Sight ultimate from 3,700 to 3,100. Improved Hunter's Sight draw speed from 1.35x to 1.5x. Iron Man Hitbox size reduced. Gains 100 bonus health when activating Armor Overdrive or Gamma Overdrive (falls off over the course of five seconds). Mister Fantastic Increased base health from 350 to 375. Stretch Punch damage boosted from 60 to 65, and 75 to 80, while in Inflated state. Enemies within range of Flexible Elongation now suffer 35 percent slow effect. Elasticity gained from Elastic Strength reduced from 30 to 20. Bonus health from Inflated state reduced from 450 to 400. Moon Knight Crescent Dart projectile speed increased from 120m/s to 150m/s. Gain 25 bonus health with each enemy hit by Moon Blade, 100 max (falls off after three seconds) Moonlight Hook pull startup time sped up from 0.4 seconds to 0.15 seconds. - Winter Soldier
- Bionic Hook cooldown increased from eight seconds to 12 seconds.
- Base damage of Kraken Impact ultimate reduced from 100 to 80, but culling threshold reduced from 20 percent to 15 percent.
- Wolverine
- Increased Rage gained from Savage Claw hits from 7 to 10, while Rage gained from Berserk Claw Strike has been decreased from 7 to 5. Reduce Rage gained from Feral Leap from 20 to 10, and from Vicious Rampage from 20 to 15. However, Rage gained from taking damage has been increased from 3 to 5.
- Enemy stun duration after Last Stand ultimate reduced from one second to 0.75 seconds.
Changes
- Cloak & Dagger
- After activating Eternal Bond (Ultimate Ability), the duration of the first three healing zones will no longer be calculated separately; instead, they will remain active until the duration of the final healing zone ends, at which point all will be removed together.
- Hela
- Astral Flock cooldown timer increased from 12 seconds to 15 seconds.
- Increased Piercing Night AoE damage from 30 to 35.
- Decreased Soul Drainer cooldown from 12 seconds to 10 seconds.
- Human Torch
- Reduced Fire Cluster attack interval from 0.6 seconds to 0.5 seconds.
- Flaming Meteor cooldown increased from 12 seconds to 14 seconds, but now gains 75 bonus health when using it (falls off over the course of three seconds).
- Iron Fist
- Bonus max health gained from Harmony Recovery reduced from 150 to 100.
- Fixed damage of Yat Jee Chung Kuen reduced from 10 to 9.
- Decreased K'un-Lun Kick cooldown from 12 seconds to 10 seconds.
- Mantis
- Base health reduced from 275 to 250.
- Effects of Healing Flower and Allied Inspiration can be stacked, up to a maximum of 16 seconds.
- Scarlet Witch
- Chaos Control percentage damage removed, fixed damage increased from 60/s to 80/s.

The mutant island haven of Krakoa will play host to the season's new maps, which will be revealed soon.
New battle pass: Hellfire Gala

A new battle pass themed around the Hellfire Gala and its glitz and glam will take center stage, with several formal attire skins teased in the trailer, including Captain America, Wolverine, Cloak & Dagger, Star-Lord, Luna Snow, Black Panther, Black Widow, Bruce Banner, Magik, Psylocke, and more.
It's currently unclear which costumes will be in the battle pass and which will be store offerings.
New skins, colors, and gifting

Popular costumes will get re-colors available to purchase, further advancing the game's customization options. Costumes will also be giftable to friends via a new feature in the store.
Competitive play updates
Picks and bans will now begin in Gold III as opposed to Diamond III in the game's ranked mode, the minimum level to play ranked is now 15, and more, such as skill points earned and lost being more reflective of individual performance.
The Competitive map pool is changing, as Yggsgard - Royal Palace and Tokyo 2099 - Shin-Shabuya have been removed, while Krakoa's Hellfire Gala map is being added.

In season 2.5, which should launch in the middle of May, Ultron will join the game as a new Strategist hero, along with other buffs and balance changes.
