Miu Miu Goes on Tour with Gymnasium Pop-Ups
Miu Miu is going on tour with pop-ups across Asia to celebrate the release of its Gymnasium collection and Custom Studio. Launched in Japan earlier this month, both will move through pop-up store locations from now through the beginning of March. The first stop was Japan at Isetan The Stage from February 5 to 11th and will next move to Hong Kong’s Harbour City from February 13th to March 9th, then arrive in Korea at the Seoul Hyundai Coex from February 14th to March 9th. They will also pop up in China at Hangzhou Mixc from February 20th to 26th and then Umeda Hankyu Coto Coto from February 26 to March 4. The Gymnasium collection, which is available for purchase in-store at each pop-up, is also available online till March 4 and WeChat from February 20th-26th. The collection includes reimaginings of iconic Miu Miu bag shapes such as Wander, Arcadie, Beau, and Adventure with updated leather and piping accents. Additionally, the collection will also feature the newest Plume, Tyre, and Gymnasium sneakers, which expand on the silhouettes built by its recent New Balance collaboration. Alongside the Gymnasium collection, Miu Miu will be launching its Custom Studio. The studio will give customers an opportunity to personalize some of the runway’s most popular items. Over the last six months, customization and bag charms have become one of the most talked about fashion trends across brands like Miu Miu, Hermès and Balenciaga. Customization options will include bag charms, sneaker tabs and alternate laces.
