nanamica Remakes the Cruiser Jacket With Spiber’s Brewed Protein™

Over the weekend, the Japanese clothing label unveiled an all-new version of its flagship coat with Spiber's Brewed Protein™, a premium plant-based material that uses fermentation technology to provide a circular solution to protein fiber production.Brewed Protein™ fibers can be manipulated to offer a "silk-like sheen and delicacy, a luxurious smooth feel akin to cashmere, or the loftiness of high-quality wool," according to the brand. Thanks to the material's plant-based build and intricate fermentation process, it significantly reduces environmental and animal welfare impacts. The silhouette itself builds on the original Cruiser Jacket, with a one-hand snap closure on the front and a removable hood that can be worn as a stand collar. Patch and flap pockets, meanwhile, boast hand-warming functions with double-layer constructions, and a security pocket lives on the left chest. Rounding out the design details, the design is fitted with a substantial body width that can be adjusted at the hem.nanamica's Cruiser Jacket with Spiber’s Brewed Protein™ is now available to shop on the brand's webstore and its New York shop, located at 123 Wooster St, New York, NY 10012, for $1,600 USD.
