New internal doors smell musty
Hi all, I live in a new build house and have just had a few internal doors replaced by the developer (like-for-like, due to issues with the original doors) and have noticed that there is a strong musty smell coming from them. These doors might as well be made out of cardboard, and I’m concerned that they’ve gotten wet while they were being stored, and the damp smell is potentially caused by mould from within the door. This is even more worrying given we have a young child. Is there something I can do to help get rid of the smell, or ‘seal’ it in? Or should I just get the doors replaced?
