New Recessed Lights Arrangement
I'll be installing recessed lights in my upstairs loft/living room area. Not sure how many I should be installing and would appreciate any ideas/opinions/help on the arrangement. I've included four ideas, but am open to new ideas! I'm leaning towards the first photo (nine evenly spaced lights), but am worried about it maybe being too bright? I'll be putting these lights on a dimmer switch, if that helps. Thanks in advance! Some notes: This room is currently my kid's playroom and also has a daybed on the left wall for when guests occasionally stay over. The yellow dot is a current light in the small hallway that I may or may not also make a recessed light to match. It's on a separate light switch than the lights in the loft/living room. The center red dot in each of the below photos is a current light that I will keep in its same spot (but convert to a recessed light).
