Options for Full Motion TV Mount on 2 Lag Screws
Hello, everyone! I recently moved in with my SO and her family, and they were cool with me setting up a new 65” TV that weighs 46lbs in the loft. It seems that the person who installed the full motion Tv wall mount (https://www.homedepot.com/p/Commercial-Electric-Full-Motion-TV-Wall-Mount-for-26-in-90-in-TVs-XD2476/300538016) used only 2 Lag screws to secure it into a stud. It previously held a 50” plasma without much issue, but I am apprehensive about using it as I don’t want to damage anything. Would it be better to move it to where there can be 4 lag screws installed, or would throwing 4 toggle bolts in the corners help to alleviate my concerns? submitted by /u/StormingWarlock [link] [comments]
