A new season of Overwatch 2 means new skins — some of which you might be able to earn from the return of loot boxes. During Wednesday’s Overwatch 2 Spotlight presentation, Blizzard showed off which cosmetics are coming in season 15 and beyond. Overwatch fans got a look at a long list of new Mythic skins, and a fun new theme based on the mahou shoujo (or magical girl) genre.
Hell, Blizzard even showed off a new legendary skin for Venture, so far an incredibly rare sighting.
Season 15 of Overwatch 2 will give Zenyatta a new Mythic skin based on the Chinese pixiu, a mythical creature that’s part lion, part dragon. Other members of Overwatch cast will also get Chinese-inspired skins, including new looks for Hanzo, Kiriko, Moira, Orisa, Reinhardt, and Sigma. Not coincidentally, Overwatch 2 will once again be available in China starting next month, after more than two years of down time. Blizzard and Chinese publisher NetEase had a falling out in 2022 that led to games like World of Warcraft and Overwatch 2 being pulled from the market.
Anyway, you didn’t come here for boring international business dealings, you came here for skins. So here’s a look at some of season 15’s Overwatch 2 skins — a mix of shop skins and those available through the battle pass, including a new Toxic Venture look.
Season 15 will also include a series of Rainy Day-themed cosmetics for characters like Mei, Mercy, Kiriko, Orisa (a recolored version of her Rubber Ducky skin), and Tracer (a recolored version of her Graffiti skin). Players can earn some of those Rainy Day skins through gameplay to be prepared for April showers.
Widowmaker will be the recipient of season 15’s Mythic weapon skin, a sharp-looking weapon variation that, if I’m being honest, looks pretty uncomfortable to hold and has far too many spider eyes on it.
Blizzard offered a look at cosmetics to come in season 16 and beyond, showing off a new Mythic weapon skin concept for Reaper that reflects his dual nature, with two differently designed shotguns. Those guys are appropriately edgy.
Finally, Blizzard gave Overwatch fans ample warning to start saving up their coins or their cash for a series of magical girl skins for Juno, Kiriko, Brigitte, Mercy, Widowmaker, D.Va, and newcomer Freja. These heavily Sailor Moon-inspired skins are called Dokiwatch, and they’ll give the women of Overwatch 2 some frilly, fancy, and downright adorable cosmetic options.
Here’s an early look:

Fortunately, Overwatch 2 players will have plenty of gameplay changes to keep them occupied while they wait for Dokiwatch to drop in a future season, with new perks and a Stadium game mode coming soon.
