PUBG Mobile has launched new themed content as part of its ongoing collaboration with the iconic anime Attack on Titan.
Starting today until July 6th, players of the battle royale mobile game can obtain Attack on Titan character sets, items and voice packs.
Based on the manga by Hajime Isayama, the Attack on Titan anime series follows humanity’s fight against the threat of giant humanoid Titans in a post-apocalyptic, dark fantasy world. Throughout its airtime from 2013 to 2023, Attack on Titan became critically acclaimed amongst anime fans and critics for its impactful storytelling, action scenes, likeable characters and soundtrack.
With PUBG Mobile’s latest update, players can immerse themselves in the Attack on Titan universe through character sets and voice packs for Eren Jaeger, Armin Arlert, Levi and Mikasa Ackermann. Each character set is available in both anime-inspired and realistic 3D styles.
Moreover, fans who obtain the Eren Jaeger character set and the Attack Titan set unlock the ability to transform Eren into the Attack Titan. The same feature has been introduced to the Armin and Colossal Titan character sets.
Additional Attack on Titan content includes the Armored Titan costume, the Mini Colossal Titan Buddy Company and a collection of themed gear such as parachutes, gun skins, melee weapons and weapon charms.
Finally, fans can explore a variety of customisable items inspired by the anime’s Scout Regiment, the elite group tasked with exploring and reclaiming territory for humanity. Such items include the Scout Regiment gear set and horse, the Cart Titan Dacia and the muscle-bound Colossal Titan Dacia.
All items from the collaboration update can be obtained through the themed Prize Path and two themed Lucky Spin events.
Attack on Titan Meets Competitive Gaming
While the ongoing collaboration between PUBG Mobile and Attack on Titan does not entail any esports activations, the global popularity of the anime series has fueled esports partnerships in the past.
Most notably, the Attack on Titan merchandise collection with North American esports organisation 100 Thieves became one of the best advertising campaigns in 2022.
Attack on Titan has also teamed up with several major gaming franchises and brands, including Fortnite, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and gaming chair manufacturer Secretlab.
