Team Vitality has lifted the IEM Melbourne trophy after a nail-biting Grand Final against Team Falcons to secure the ESL Grand Slam Season 5 title.
With this victory, the French powerhouse has now claimed four Counter-Strike titles in 2025, including IEM Katowice, ESL Pro League Season 21 and BLAST Spring Final.
As a result of winning four ESL tournaments in less than a year, the organisation has also recorded an ESL Grand Slam, becoming the fifth team to do so. Formerly the Intel Grand Slam until recently, Team Vitality has been awarded $1m (~£749,400) following this feat.
To celebrate the occasion, Team Vitality has partnered with a leading basketball apparel brand DearBBall to launch an exclusive merch line themed around each player in its Counter-Strike 2 roster.
The collection features a hoodie, sweatshirt, and t-shirt for each player, available in black or white, with every item accompanied by a personalized description. Fans can purchase these limited-edition merch from DearBBall’s official website.

“This is a historic moment for Team Vitality as we become the 5th club in history to win the ESL Grand Slam. We are now part of a legendary club that has left its mark on the history of the game,” said Fabien ‘Neo’ Devide, President and Co-founder of Team Vitality.
“After more than six hours of play, I’m proud of the mentality and the incredible display from this team. To see them achieve such greatness makes me feel so proud.”
The team didn’t lose even a single series throughout the event, ultimately grabbing the title by defeating Falcons in a thrilling decider map, heading into double overtime.
“I’m feeling great, guys. It’s amazing to be on top of the world. Thank you for watching us play this sick game” said Mathieu ‘ZywOo’ Herbaut while lifting his 24th MVP title, the most ever collected by a player in CS2 history.
Moreover, ZywOo and Dan ‘apEX’ Madesclaire have become the first-ever French players to win an ESL Grand Slam.
Team Vitality will next return to the stage at IEM Dallas, scheduled to kick off on May 19th.
