Trying to install flooring
Hello I'm trying to fix up my parents secondary bathroom but I'm not sure how to proceed. I see that the person that worked on it before was using these plywood sheets and was going to layer tiling on top. My worry is that if I continue doing what they were doing it may not be waterproof and the wood underneath may absorb moisture from the utilities. Any advice on materials I should use would be greatly appreciated! I considered using durock since that would be waterproof, but considering the floor is elevated by those wood frames, I don't know if the hollow spaces may lead to the durock breaking/caving in. submitted by /u/Independent-Pizza874 [link] [comments]
