Tuck Pointing Advice
I have about 120 linear feet of tuck point work I need done. Some longer runs. About 28 bricks that are chopped in half (concrete bricks from the 50s) - up here in Michigan. One person will tuck point everything for $2000 One will tuck point and then do a bit of tuck pointing on some horizontal limestone for $3k, though they’d do it for $2500 if we scheduled this week One will replace the bricks and tuck point everything for $3500, including replacing bricks beneath a bathroom window that look awful. I really only need to be structurally sound and for a few years. Not planning on staying in this house forever. The second two (more expensive) options will have their main guy come out and chalk the joint up, where the cheapest one would have me relying on the paragraphs in the estimate saying (two horizontal runs on the front and two vertical), etc. Who to go with, what other questions to ask, why?
