What time does Avowed release on Game Pass and Steam?

Avowed launches on Windows PC and Xbox Series X on Tuesday, Feb. 18, following five days of early access for those who picked up the game’s premium editions. The standard edition of Avowed will be available on Game Pass.

Set in the Pillars of Eternity universe of Eora, Avowed sends you on an adventure around the Living Lands region, as long as you own a Windows PC or Xbox Series X. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to play Avowed on PlayStation 5 at launch. While publisher Xbox Game Studios has started bringing games to non-Xbox consoles, it hasn’t yet announced anything about Avowed.

Is Avowed on Game Pass?

The standard edition of Avowed will be playable on Game Pass via the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass tiers on Tuesday, Feb. 18.

Make sure to check which version of Game Pass you own, as Avowed will not be available for Standard and Core subscribers.

You can purchase the Premium Upgrade Add-On ($25) to unlock early access from Feb. 13, plus additional cosmetics for your companions. It’s important to note that if your purchase the add-on and your subscription runs out, you’ll lose access to the game and its Premium Edition. However, the add-on is much cheaper than the Premium Edition itself, and, if you resubscribe, you’ll regain your add-on and save file.

What time does Avowed release on Game Pass?

As of this writing, developer Obsidian Entertainment nor publisher Xbox Game Studios have announced an official release time for Avowed. That said, the early access version went live on Thursday, Feb. 13, at 1 p.m. EST. If that time holds the same for Avowed’s wide release on Tuesday, Feb. 18, here’s when that is in your time zone:

• 10 a.m. PST for the West Coast of North America
• 1 p.m. EST for the East Coast of North America
• 6 p.m. GMT for the U.K.
• 7 p.m. CET for West Mainland Europe
• 3 a.m. JST on Wednesday, Feb. 19 for Japan
• 5 a.m. AEDT on Wednesday, Feb. 19 for the East Coast of Australia

According to its Steam page, Avowed goes live on Windows PC at 12 p.m. EST on Tuesday, Feb. 18. Here’s when that is in your time zone:

• 12 p.m. EST for the East Coast of North America

Avowed premium edition and early access details

To play Avowed in early access, you need to purchase one of the non-standard editions. That means getting one of the following:

• Premium edition
• Premium upgrade, for those playing the standard digital edition, including through an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass subscription
• Premium edition steelbook

With the purchase of the premium edition, you’ll be able to play Avowed ahead of its official launch, and you’ll also receive two cosmetic skin packs for party members, the digital artbook, and the soundtrack.
