A new Nintendo Direct showcase is coming on March 27, Nintendo announced Wednesday. The new Direct will focus on games coming to the original Nintendo Switch, the company said, not the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. It appears to be one of the last, if not the last, Nintendo Direct events dedicated to Nintendo’s current-generation console.
Thursday’s Direct will air at 7 a.m. PDT/10 a.m. EDT on Nintendo’s official YouTube channel. The presentation will run for around 30 minutes, Nintendo said. You can watch the new Nintendo Direct in the embedded video above.
Nintendo currently has one title on its publishing slate for Switch, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. Many third-party publishers still have Switch games coming, but the existence of a new Nintendo Direct dedicated to the original Switch certainly indicates there may be more from Nintendo itself.
Nintendo’s successor, Switch 2, is expected to launch sometime in late spring or early summer. A Nintendo Direct dedicated to Switch 2 is coming next week, on Wednesday, April 2.
