Dan Da Dan season 2 is slated to premiere this July. The first season of the quirky sci-fi supernatural action comedy quickly won a place in our hearts and a coveted spot on our list of 2024’s best anime, thanks in no small part to its terrific animation courtesy of Science Saru (Devilman Crybaby). If you’re looking for yet another reason to catch up on the series, you’re in luck — Dan Da Dan’s first season is coming to Blu-ray on June 10 and is available to pre-order now.
The home video release of Dan Da Dan season 1 will be available in two versions: A standard edition for $34.98, and a special collector’s edition for $64.98, complete with a cardboard slipcase, a 32-page booklet complete with artwork and sketches from the series’ production, six art cards featuring illustrations of the series’ cast, and a Turbo Granny cat sticker, along with all 12 episodes on two Blu-ray discs. Both versions are available to pre order through Amazon.
Season one of Dan Da Dan was directed by Fūga Yamashiro, with character designs by Naoyuki Onda and music composed by Kensuke Ushio (Chainsaw Man). Dan Da Dan’s second season will see Yamashiro returning to co-direct alongside Abel Góngora, who previously directed the Star Wars: Visions short T0-B1 and 2023’s Scott Pilgrim Takes Off.
Dan Da Dan is available to stream on Crunchyroll and Netflix.
