All Festival Token locations in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

Festival Tokens represent the first real side quest in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. There are three tokens to find, and you can exchange them for three different rewards during the game’s prologue.

In this Expedition 33 guide, we’ll walk you through where to find all three Festival Tokens and what you’ll get for turning them in.

All Festival Token locations in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

After the Gommage happens, you’ll find yourself looking out at the Expedition Festival, a final party for the brave members of Expedition 33.

As soon as you regain control of Gustave, you’ll automatically receive your first of three Festival Tokens. You can turn these tokens into festival vendors for rewards, but we’ll talk about that more in the next section. For now, you need to find two more Festival Tokens if you want all of the rewards.

Your second token comes from Maelle, who is down on the docks by the water to your right. Talk to her and duel her. If you win, she’ll give you a Festival Token. This is still the tutorial, so the fight isn’t very difficult, but make sure to use some healing items if you miss too many dodges or parries.

The third and final Festival Token comes from Antoine, the bald gentleman in the white coat just across from the vendor booths. Antoine, like Gustave, is a bit of a history buff when it comes to past expeditions, and would like to quiz your knowledge. He’ll ask you three questions in a row, the answers to which you can find below (if you answer wrong or misclick, Antoine will let you start over again):

2. Expedition Zero
3. Abilities you internalize by using a Pictos in battle after enough times

After you get through the quiz, Gustave and Antoine will have a heartfelt goodbye. With all three tokens in hand, you’re ready to exchange them for some rewards.

All Festival Token rewards in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

You can get the following rewards in exchange for your Festival Tokens from the following vendors:

• Colette, right booth: an Old Key. Described as “an old key for an old door.” We’re not quite sure what this is used for yet, but it will live in your quest items menu until you find a use for it later in the game.
• Amandine, middle booth: a new haircut. The new haircut gives Gustave a man bun (appropriately called “bun”). If you don’t like the haircut, don’t worry, you can swap it back via the wardrobe feature in your inventory menu.
• Tom, left booth: Weird Pictos. The description for this is “a quick inspection is enough to say that this Pictos is unusable as is.” Much the same as the Old Key, this Weird Pictos will go in your quest menu until you find a use for it — which we still haven’t done, hours later

Once you have all three treasures from your Festival Tokens, talk to everyone at the party until your sister, Emma, shows up. Once you chat with her, the game will move on and Expedition 33 will begin to make its way toward the Paintress.
