Pokémon Go ‘Sweet Discoveries’ event guide

Pokémon Go’s “Sweet Discoveries” event focuses on sweet Pokémon and Pokémon that love to snack. It runs from April 24-29. Notably the event features the debut of Applin, alongside its first two evolutions, Flapple and Appletun.

“Sweet Discovers” also features doubled catch candy, increased shiny chances for a few random Pokémon (Delibird, Skwovet, and Cherubi), and an increased chance to find apples around Mossy Lures — which is how you’ll find Applin.

‘Sweet Discoveries’ paid premium Timed Research

Is the “Sweet Discovers” paid research worth buying? Mossy Lures are pricey (180 coins each), so this makes the coin value alone worth it, if you need more lures. The rest of the encounters are just regular spawns for the event, so unless you really love Applin, I personally wouldn’t buy this bundle.

Spinning a PokéStop during the event period may yield one of these tasks:

• Feed your buddy 5 times (1,000 Stardust)
• Use 3 berries to help catch Pokémon (Delibird, Komala, or Skwovet encounter)
• Use 10 berries to help catch Pokémon (1,000 Stardust)
