Esports organisation Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP) has announced its participation in the upcoming Red Bull Wings For Life World Run on May 4th, 2025.
Members of the organisation, from pro players to staff members, will partake in the charitable run, and are encouraging fans to get involved through donations, give-aways and more.
The Red Bull Wings For Life World Run is a charity run organised by energy drink brand Red Bull. The initiative gathers funds to support research for a cure to spinal cord injuries.
The run will last for 30 minutes and will start at the same time regardless of time zones, after which a virtual catcher car will begin racing in an attempt to catch them. The race ends when they have reached their personal target or are caught by the car.
Ninjas in Pyjamas currently have a sign-up page where fans can partake in the race under the esports organisation and donate to the cause.
There will also be giveaways available, such as the “Buy One, Get One” campaign drop at The Dojo, a members only platform where NIP fans can compete in challenges. Top performers can earn prizes for their efforts, including the 25 vouchers up for grabs, and will also come across a few of NIP’s professional players during challenges.
These players include members of the organisation’s new Counter-Strike 2 roster for 2025, Snappi, sjuush, r1nkle, as well as their head coach, Xizt.
Hicham Chahine, CEO of Ninjas in Pyjamas and founder & Co-CEO of NIP Group, said: “We are thrilled to be joining this incredible initiative, Wings for Life, for the third year, with a goal to have at least 100 participants from Ninjas in Pyjamas take part – including pro players, coaches and staff.
“In an industry that thrives within the digital world, it’s vital to maintain a balance between physical and mental wellbeing. This challenge not only shines a spotlight on that balance but also supports a truly worthy cause.”
News of the esports organisation’s participation in the charity run follows after NIP Group renewed their partnership with energy drink brand Red Bull last month – a deal that has run since November 2022.
