The Golden Globes were a glimmer of hope in an awards season usually filled with trepidation. Not only did Nikki Glaser handily fulfill her role as host, making us laugh and reviving the room’s energy at the right inflection points, but the red-carpet fashion suggested a more custom looks to drool over in the coming weeks. However, the devastating Los Angeles fires have halted awards season, with the future of the ceremonies suspended as the city recovers.

Now that the fires are contained, the stars are taking to the carpets again, and feeding us some fun fashion. The Critics Choice Awards shifted a few stars up on our list, and others attended various awards events before the two big ones: The Screen Actors Guild Awards and, of course, the Oscars. Keep scrolling, and keep checking back, to see who’s on our radar from now until the Best Picture Oscar is awarded.

Ms. Edebiri holds strong in the top spot by continuing to strike a balance between runway and real-life in a way that feels true to her.

We adored her golden Golden Globes look, and The Substance star has rarely missed since she started promo for the film at Cannes in Jun. 2024. This recent Schiaparelli Haute Couture moment was brilliant accessorized with a simple earring, bracelet, and glowing skin.

A princess of pastels and Valentino test-driver who knows the power of leopard print and a high-contrast lip. We appreciate her shape-shifting abilities, wearing Marlene Dietrich drag one night and going full femme-bot the next.

Current position: 4

Last position: 6

Her robin’s-egg blue Prada at the Golden Globes was our favorite red-carpet look she’s worn in a while, and while lots of folks have been lamenting the Old Hollywood throwbacks celebs have leaned into, it works on her.

Zoe Saldana

Current position: 5

Last position: 5

Saldana dressed like a winner at the Globes, and it worked in her favor as she picked up her first-ever Globe. Her Saint Laurent-heavy awards season has us wanting for very little.

Nicole Kidman

Current position: 6

Last position: 8

She’s a true chameleon, not only on the screen as a submissive CEO in Babygirl, but as a fashion star. One minute, she’s in a ‘60s bouffant hairstyle and Balenciaga couture, and the next she’s a cool mom in beachy waves and a relaxed Saint Laurent suit.

Hannah Einbinder

Current position: 7

Last position: N/A

She’s a winner, baby! Einbinder enchanted in a soft white Vuitton gown at the Globes, and switched it up for this geometric confection in hunter green at the Critics Choice.

Mikey Madison

Current position: 8

Last position: N/A

A newcomer to both this list and the Hollywood major leagues, Madison has found a groove after some questionable fashion in simple column gowns with minimal accessories.

Monica Barbaro

Current position: 9

Last position: N/A

The Oscar-nominated actress is also finding her style this awards season, wearing lots of Dior, but also this artsy Marni which was expertly paired with a red lip.

This Globes look got a lot of people talking — not for the dress, but for the conspicuous ring on her left index finger. While this look isn’t our favorite in her long line of slays, she still stands a head above the pack for well-executed styling, hair, and makeup.
