Anyway to not have to drill through subfloor for pulling wires.
My FIOS terminates in the far corner of my finished basement and I'm trying to get it to terminate on the first floor so I don't have to rely on multiple nodes to get signal to the upper floors or the other corner of the house and get my speeds cut by half on every node. Ideally I'd like to terminate at a central location of the house, but failing that I'd be okay with terminating at a room right above where it currently is. I'm seeing that you have to drill through the subfloor if you want to run between floors. Anywhere in the wall that I can run a wire w/o having to drill through the subfloor? I don't have full access to the framing of he basement since basement is finished. submitted by /u/I-Fight-Dirty [link] [comments]
