Are there any disadvantages to replacing old window glazing with wood mullion trim and clear caulk?
I'm having a really hard time researching this because glazing means multiple things, but I'm trying to restore my old windows and I thought my only option was glazing with traditional glazing putty, but I noticed my sister's windows from a similar age house and in the same environment (MN) are only held in with wood trim (mullion I think?). Can I just replace the glazing with wood and then seal with caulk? It seems a lot easier... submitted by /u/Akito_900 [link] [comments]
