Gaming and esports data company GRID has unveiled GRID Stream, a purpose-built video solution aimed at sportsbooks looking to bolster esports betting offerings.
As the demand for real-time, reliable esports content grows, GRID Stream aims to deliver official, latency-optimised video feeds to betting operators, bridging the gap between in-game data and live viewing for fans and bettors alike.
GRID Stream integrates directly with GRID’s data platform, which powers live tracking, analytics, and odds feeds for some of the industry’s biggest games due to partnerships with the likes of Riot Games, KRAFTON, and Ubisoft.
As a result, operators can now offer synchronised, official video alongside real-time data, bolstering a sportsbooks betting experience.
Esports betting has long struggled with fragmented, unreliable streams and data delays, which not only frustrate users but also open the door to integrity risks. By providing a single, official source for both video and data, GRID Stream aims to tighten security, reduce latency, and ensure bettors are watching the same action that’s driving the odds.
This move is part of a broader trend in esports infrastructure. GRID has recently expanded its offerings with GRID Play, a toolkit for game developers to extract, analyse, and distribute in-game data across all levels of competition, not just the professional tier.
Klas Roseqvist, Senior Sales Manager at GRID, commented on the launch: “Esports bettors aren’t just watching passively; they’re actively engaging, analysing, and wagering in real time.
“If the stream lags or is interrupted by ads — especially during key moments — it’s not just a poor user experience. It often leads to users abandoning their bets and returning to the original streaming platform. GRID Stream solves that, offering operators faster, more engaging, and more reliable betting experiences — without the limitations of third-party embeds.”
