Benson Boone and Maggie Thurmon's Complete Relationship Timeline

Benson Boone made his Coachella debut over the weekend, and his "Bohemian Rhapsody" performance with Queen member Brian May is one for the music history books. The singer has had a successful year with a Grammy nomination and memorable Grammys performance, and now with his Coachella showdown, it's only up. 

The 22-year-old artist garnered success after he released his single "Beautiful Things" in 2024, after he dropped out of American Idol in 2021. Boone's fans and other Coachella attendees weren't the only ones showing his set love and support. Maggie Thurmon was also in attendance and spotted during the legendary set, showing her support for her boyfriend. Thurmon, a podcaster and social media influencer, has been romantically linked with Boone since January 2024.

The aspiring actor and singer have kept their relationship somewhat private as they'll be spotted posing on red carpets together while attending prestigious ceremonies, and have shown each other support publicly. They aren't afraid to pack on the PDA no matter where they are, but they still refrain from commenting publicly about their relationship, as is within their right. 

The TikTok star (who currently has 5.3 million followers) continues to pursue acting, with her most recent role being in the 2023 film The Other Zoey starring opposite Drew Starkey and Josephine Langford. Boone took the time during his set to announce his sophomore album, American Heart, which is set to release on June 20, 2025. The power couple is taking the entertainment industry by storm, and they're doing it together.

January 2024

Boone teased fans with a TikTok video he posted in January 2024, where he seemingly confirmed the rumors that he was dating Maggie Thurmon. He was singing along to one of his songs, and fans immediately knew the "her" was a reference to the 23-year-old influencer. 

February 2024 

In a 2024 interview with Billboard, Boone confirmed that his hit song "Beautiful Things" was written for his rumored girlfriend. He said the song "was inspired by a relationship that I had just gotten into—for the first time in my life, I felt like I was extremely out of control of the way this relationship would turn out. Meaning like, in the past, I feel like I’ve always known that I could be the one to end a relationship. This one felt very different. It was the first time that I’d really been actually, genuinely terrified to lose something." His relationship with Thurmon hadn't been confirmed yet, but once it was made official, it became clear that she was the muse. 

March 2024

The couple officially confirmed their relationship while attending Elton John's AIDS Foundation Academy Awards viewing party in March 2024. 

June 2024

Following their outing in March, the couple became Instagram official in June 2024. Thurmon posted a carousel that included Boone in a video of them holding hands while on a stroll. Fans were freaking out as they saw little Easter eggs of Boone throughout the post including his backpack. He also commented on her post, saying, "The first pic...wow. Perfect." 

July 2024

The couple stepped out to attend the Twisters premiere in July 2024. The film featured one of Boone's songs, "Death, Wish, Love." 

August 2024

The couple keeps their relationship private, but they love to give glimpses every now and then. In August 2024, Thurmon's Instagram post featured a touching moment between the two as she raised his hand and kissed it, making everyone swoon. 

September 2024

September 2024 was the month the couple was everywhere. They attended the Spring/Summer 2025 Tommy Hilfiger show and the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards. The couple coordinated looks for both events, and during the awards ceremony, he was pictured carrying her backstage. Thurmon also took to social media to post her support for his VMAs performance 

November 2024

Boone made a rare comment about Thurmon during an interview with Entertainment Tonight. When asked what he liked about her, he responded, "It's her whole personality, who she is." He added that she's "the sweetest and the kindest." They're in love folks. 

February 2025 

Thurmon posted a video on TikTok of her getting ready to attend the 2025 Grammy Awards. The pair weren't photographed together that night, but all signs point to Thurmon being his guest.
