Best adhesive to bond Hue CAN lights to ceiling?

I've decided to try an adhesive to "permanently" bond the lights to the ceiling. Has anyone tried anything similar? The challenge I see is the ~1MM lip on the lights. Caulk, putty, foam, gasket? IDK? These are 5/6" CAN light retrofits that fit in the existing openings. To bond to the ceiling, there is probably about 1/2" - 1" from the inside of the lip that'll contact the ceiling. Each light weight .6lbs. A secondary challenge is some of the lights are 20ft. off the group so fast bonding is critical to limit the time I spend standing on a ladder while holding it in place. The LED are long-lasting, hopefully, forever-lasting LEDs, so I'm not worried about later repairs or failures. I'll cross that bridge when I get there, if ever. Thanks for any insight!!! submitted by /u/Brilliant-Unit-1726 [link] [comments]
