Bon Iver Announces New Album 'SABLE, fABLE'

After being teased over the past months, Justin Vernon's Bon Iver has announced its first full album in six years, SABLE, fABLE, releasing April 11 on Jagjaguwar.Arriving just in time for Valentine’s Day, the first single from the new record, "Everything Is Peaceful Love", premieres February 14 at 10am EST on the band's official YouTube channel, with fans being able to register now for a notification. The single sees Vernon partner with filmmaker John Wilson – best known for his HBO show How To with John Wilson – who both shot and edited the music video.Bon Iver's seminal debut project, For Emma, Forever Ago, was released to mass acclaim in 2006. Now, nearly two decades since, Vernon's fifth studio album sees the project enter its latest chapter, one referred to as "the epilogue" in the new record's press release. While this may sound ominous to its fans, the new album is described as "as a love story set to lush, radiant pop music" – if it does end up being the band's final full release, is there a better way to go out?Produced by Justin Vernon in collaboration with Jim E Stack, SABLE, fABLE was mostly recorded in Wisconsin with the duo retreating to Vernon's "April Base" studio – one that laid dormant for years during a prolonged renovation. The inspiration for the album is said to have been sparked in 2022 when Stack, along with Danielle Haim, arrived at "the Base", and then spent a few days snowed in with Vernon. The 12 track album is being released by Jagjaguwar on April 11, and is available for pre-order now here.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
