Brunello Cucinelli Debuts 'Incanti Poetici’ With Six Poetic Parfums
Brunello Cucinelli

Brunello Cucinelli: Incanti Poetici is the breathtaking new collection from the fashion house with Euroitalia that quite literally transforms verse into scent. By presenting top perfumers with verses that meditate on themes like longing, nature, elegance, and yearning for a lost homeland, they then distilled these poetic emotions into bottles, crafting fragrances that don't merely smell divine but tell stories, evoke memories, and stir the soul with their remarkable depth and complexity. Brunello Cucinelli didn’t just create a new parfum collection — they've bottled poetry itself.

Housed in elegant glass and sophisticated flacons that mimic the house’s fragrance predecessors, this gender-neutral line is visually a harmonious delight, with the colors on the metallic sheaths of each bottle mirroring the juice within.

Their olfactory imprints, too, are memorable, staying with the wearer long after their physical presence has faded. Vie Eteree is the work of perfumer Benoist Lapouza, who infused a bright, radiant spirit into this perfume, with green bergamot, citron, basil, cardamom and cedarwood, making it a fragrance with a quintessentially Italian soul. It’s the purest manifestation of an Italian summer in a bottle.

In Soffio Zenit, its nose Florian Gallo played with another beloved star of Italian perfumery, the fig. Here, the ripe fruity notes have been enhanced and warmed by lavender, rosemary and labdanum, creating a softly sweet and piquant harmony that’s a reminder of the Mediterranean's rich natural bounty.

Get ready to be transported by Quentin Bisch’s Sogno Notturno, or night dream, which is an addictive mix of creamy sandalwood, osmanthus, cumin and vetiver. The poetic work that inspired it, Sotto le Stelle by Vittoria Aganoor Pompilj, is an ode to reminiscing upon a profound, stirring dream.

Next up is Brezza Gentile by perfumer Daphné Bugey. It’s a vibrant dance that opens with zesty bitter orange, leading to a mysterious heart that features the distinctive spicy and peppery notes of elemi extract, and an enveloping ambergris accord. Patchouli, with its earthy, welcoming magic, is the finishing touch.

As we get deeper into the line, the juices get headier. In Ombra Lirica, master perfumer Alberto Morillas digs deep into notes that conjure a journey through the philosophies of the Middle East. Oud, with its deep, bass-like hum vibrates through this composition, and the spicy, resinous sweetness of olibanum or frankincense rounds out the experience. It’s also warmed by cedarwood and guaiac wood.

Perfumer Jordi Fernandez wraps things up with a flourish — the rich finishing touch of Vento Ardente is like the indulgent, warm dessert at the end of a six-course meal. To mimic the precious materials used in the fashion house’s offerings, notes of rich leather, saffron, Turkish rose and amyris represent the finest of ingredients in perfume-making, underscoring the brand’s artisanal roots and a commitment to timeless luxury and quality, both in fashion and in fragrance.

Perfumery lines by fashion houses are meant to mirror the label’s vision and ethos in olfactory form, and it’s hard to imagine anyone doing that more accurately and with as much soul as Brunello Cucinelli and Incanti Poetici. Whether you get one or collect them all, they’re bound to become your fragrance staples, just like the fashion pieces, leaving an unforgettable imprint long after you've left the room.
