CAMPERLAB Opens Paris Store Designed by Crosby Studios
Led by Finnish designer Achilles Ion Gabriel, CAMPERLAB has opened its first standalone store dedicated to the Camper label's unisex footwear, apparel and accessories. The space, designed by Crosby Studios, borrows from the design firm's futuristic aesthetic to showcase CAMPERLAB's products in an unconventional manner.Located at 15 rue Debelleyme in Le Marais, the store embodies Crosby Studios' philosophy of "Transformism" — described as a concept "where familiar materials and objects are transformed, altering the perception of space." From the outside, the design invites curiosity from passing pedestrians by way of smashed concrete walls, offering small peeks of the interior. In the store, Crosby Studios embeds CAMPERLABS fixtures within similar concrete vignettes, adding an expressive twist to the store displays. The space relies heavily on Crosby Studios' signature look, characterized by smooth greyscale surfaces and polished chrome accents.Founded by Harry Nuriev, Crosby Studios is known for its immersive installations, playful design concepts and sleek interiors. Working between NYC and Paris, the firm has lent its expertise to other store recent designs including denim label Frame's Paris store and Alexander Wang's SOHO shop.Since joining the brand 5 years ago, Achilles Ion Gabriel has expanded CAMPERLAB's lines and further developed the brand's functional yet avant-garde style. Along with the launch of the new store, the label has announced the unveiling of its new website in collaboration with Giga Design Studio.
