Cant get shower hose to stopleaking after reconnecting it

Our current shower (Mira advance flex) needs a new hose and head (breaking where the head joins the hose) I have ordered a new different brand shower head and hose to do this and its comming tomorrow. But I took off the hose at the actual unit to double check the threading and how easy it is to take on and off. It was able to be done by hand, and after i reattached it to be able to use it until the new one arrives. But now it will not stop leaking from where it joins, both at the threaded bit and where the connector meets the hose. I checked the washer and its in good condition and in place, I've tried taking it off and reconnecting god knows how many times and I even tried using grips to make it tighter but it just doesn't make a difference, I cannot stop it leaking. This is the first time the hose has been disconnected since it was installed. I just cannot get it to stop. Any help would he great as I dont want this issue to continue with the new one either. submitted by /u/SirGillihad [link] [comments]
