Citi Strata Premier Card 75K Bonus Points Offer (Limited Time)

The Citi Strata Premier℠ Card currently has an excellent limited time welcome bonus, and is also one of my favorite mid-range credit cards. In this post, I want to go over all the details of this offer, for those who are considering applying. If you don’t yet have this card, it’s absolutely worth considering.

Earn 75,000 ThankYou points with the Citi Strata Premier

The $95 annual fee Citi Strata Premier Card is offering a limited time welcome bonus of 75,000 ThankYou points after spending $4,000 within the first three months (unfortunately we don’t know when this offer will expire).

Citi ThankYou points can either be redeemed for one cent each toward a variety of travel purchases or gift cards, or can be transferred to Citi ThankYou airline and hotel partners. In other words, 75,000 points can get you at least $750 worth of travel or gift cards, or 75,000 airline miles. Personally I like to convert those points into airline miles for first and business class travel, to get the most value.

Citi’s general application rules apply, and on top of that, the welcome bonus isn’t available if you’ve received a bonus on this exact card (or the Citi Premier Card, since that’s how it was previously branded) in the past 48 months. Eligibility for the bonus on this card is unrelated to whether you’ve received a bonus on any other Citi credit card.

Why the Citi Strata Premier Card is worth having

Beyond the initial bonus of 75,000 points, the Citi Strata Premier Card can be worth having on an ongoing basis for a variety of reasons. Among other things:

• The Citi Strata Premier has the most well rounded bonus categories of any mid-range card, as it offers 3x ThankYou points on airfare, dining, gas, EV charging, groceries, and hotels, all with no foreign transaction fees
• The Citi Strata Premier offers 10x ThankYou points on hotels, rental cars, and attractions, booked through the Citi Travel portal
• Having the Citi Strata Premier Card allows you to maximize the value you get from the no annual fee Citi Double Cash® Card (review), which is one of the best cards for everyday, non-bonused spending; this card earns you 2x ThankYou points per dollar spent on everyday purchases (1x points when you make a purchase, and 1x points when you pay for a purchase)
• The Citi Strata Premier offers a $100 hotel credit once per calendar year, valid on a single hotel stay of $500 or more that’s booked through the Citi Travel portal; for some, this alone will more than justify the annual fee

Bottom line
