Clean out thread broken, DIY or plumber?

https://imgur.com/a/ADVyu1P Discovered this clean out leaking (there was a clog that’s been cleared but still getting water when running washing machine). Looks like the threading was broken/cut behind this cabinet and the cap can’t be fully screwed on - tried to secure it better with a new cap but doesn’t seem to seal much better than this. Is there some other way to fix or cap this? I can’t seem to find a fix outside of the plumber who wants to change out the whole T for a bunch of money. Any help is appreciated. submitted by /u/jimothygoods [link] [comments]
