Continuing the Frankenstein-d ethos of the first Union LA x Air Jordan 1 collaborations from 2018, this pair sews an Air Jordan 1 "Shadow" collar onto the upper of an Air Jordan 1 "Chicago," and uses powder blue thread at its collar seam for a strikingly-contrasted delineation between the two OG colorways. Other details include a paper-like tongue tag, exposed tongue seams, an "aged" midsole and an insole with illustrations that nod to the shoe's design process.Early reports have this Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG collaboration slated for a February 12, 2025 release, though this information has yet to be confirmed by Jordan Brand or Union LA. Already, a "Shattered Backboard" reissue, "UNC Reimagined" colorway and Air Jordan 1 Hi '85 "Bred" are expected to release next year.Now, a new rumor from zSneakerHeadz, Brandon1an and Sneaker Market RO is pointing towards another Union LA x Air Jordan 1 High OG project. The duo worked on the silhouette in 2018, producing two colorways that combined vintage aesthetics with a stitched-together style that saw mismatched collars applied to each pair.
