Cloud9 Kia has announced that it is teaming up with Conviction for League of Legends’ North American Challengers League (NACL) 2025 season.

Cloud9 Kia highlighted that it will provide coaching support to help develop Conviction’s roster. This support will come from Cloud9’s Strategic Coach Marius ‘Veigar V2’ Aune and Assistant Coach Nicholas ‘Inero’ Smith.

“This partnership reflects our continued commitment to growing the North American talent pipeline and supporting the next generation of competitive players,” added Cloud9 on social media.

As of writing, Conviction is playing in the NACL Split 1 2025 Playoffs, running from May 15th to June 6th, 2025. This tournament consists of the top six teams of the regular season playing in a double-elimination bracket, with best-of-five matches and Fearless Draft rules.

In a post online, Conviction said: “Thrilled to partner with Cloud9 for the rest of 2025! We’re excited for the opportunities ahead and can’t wait to see what we’ll build together.”

Conviction first unveiled its new roster for NACL on March 21st, 2025 after the organisation acquired the roster from Tempest Gaming.

This is the full lineup of Convictions league of Legends team:

Cloud9’s Esports Moves

Conviction becomes the latest partner for Cloud9 in a year full of major developments for the organisation.

Back in January, Cloud9 announced that it would enter a naming rights partnership with car brand Kia America, competing as Cloud9 Kia in League of Legends for 2025.

Across various gaming scenes, Cloud9 has signed new teams for titles such as Rainbow Six Siege, and overhauls to old ones for games like Call of Duty.
