Column Caps Granite with Lions

So here's an update on my previous post about Columns. I tried to update the original post but couldn't add pictures. For the column caps, I just used a different color Versa-lok stone for the contrast and economics. (See 2nd picture for current state) Deciding this wasn't enough I purchased two granite slabs to put on top. I had them cut with a beveled edge and they put a sealant on them. I intend to put the granite on top of the black versa-lok and then finally mount my zinc lions on top of the granite. My questions are: 1. What is the most durable way to bond the granite to the versa-lok? It looks like when I had them cut the granite, they put a mesh like cover on the underside of the slab. 2. how do I mount the lions to the granite the best way. Obviously these will be exposed to the elements and I want to give the best bond possible. The lions are made of magnesium apparently. 3. anything else I should do to treat the stone/lions?
