COMME des GARÇONS Cult-Favorite "2" Fragrance Is Back, But Not For Long
Just in time for its 30th anniversary, COMME des GARÇONS' cult-favorite "2" fragrance is back in Dover Street Market Paris with a romantic twist. Initially released in 2005, CdG 2 debuted as a follow up to the brand’s initial olfactory launch in 1994. Both fragrances were designed by perfumer Mark Buxton, who drew on the darker notes of the original perfume to create the iconic sequel. The romantic reboot has been nicknamed “Love Hurts” and features heart-shaped metallic brillo pad packaging. The limited release will include six COMME des GARÇONS parfums: Amazingreen, Blackpepper, Wonderwood, COMME des GARÇONS Eau de Parfum, CdG 2, and CdG 2 Man. The “Love Hurts” re-edition is part of a larger Valentine’s Day activation at DSM Paris. The store tapped 15 members of its creative community to share their take on love and meaningful products that speak to them. The products range from poetic to provocative: love sick quotes are embroidered across Aaron Esh’s distressed baseball caps and JW Anderson even gave the viral pigeon clutch a BDSM makeover for the occasion. The curated shopping experience also includes designers like All-in Studio, Chopova Lowena, Vaquera, Charles Jeffrey Loverboy, Simone Rocha, Doublet, Edward Cuming, and more. The COMME des GARÇONS 2 fragrances and custom packaging are limited to a 120 bottle run available now exclusively on the first floor at Dover Street Market Paris.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
