Compactor Help?
We're building a brick paver patio in our backyard. We have about 3 inches dug out for our weed barrier, .5" of sand, Brock paver base panels, and our 1.75" thick Holland brick pavers. After screeding the soil, we rented a compactor and went over one quarter of the area. As the compactor was moving over the surface, it was pushing around about the top inch of soil, totally ruining all of the work we put into screeding, leveling, and grading. I never saw this issue coming. I'm thinking it has to do with the dryness of the soil towards the surface, but even after wetting it with the garden hose, we still had a similar effect. Any advice is appreciated!
