UK-based betting operator CopyBet has officially joined the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA), marking a significant step in the ongoing global effort to uphold integrity in sports betting.

This partnership will see CopyBet integrate its betting data into IBIA’s global monitoring network, which encompasses over 80 companies and 140 brands, collectively overseeing more than $300bn in annual bets.

By joining IBIA, CopyBet aims to bolster its ability to detect and prevent suspicious betting activity, reinforcing its commitment to responsible gambling and player protection.

Anton Ivanov, CopyBet’s UK Business Development Director, emphasised the company’s dedication to providing safe betting environments, stating that this collaboration “enables us to continue providing safe and secure gaming conditions” and further secures a trusted platform for customers.

IBIA’s monitoring system is recognised as a highly effective anti-corruption tool, tracking transactional activities linked to individual customer accounts and reporting suspicious activity in regulated markets.

Recent technological upgrades in 2024 have further improved the association’s ability to detect and report anomalies.

CopyBet and Esports

CopyBet currently offers esports odds alongside its traditional sportsbook, making the integrity of esports betting a key concern for the operator.

In IBIA’s Q1 2025 report, esports accounted for four of the 63 suspicious betting alerts flagged globally, underscoring the need for robust monitoring in this fast-growing vertical.

By joining IBIA, CopyBet strengthens its ability to monitor and respond to integrity threats in esports betting, as well as in football, tennis, and other sports.

CopyBet’s entry into IBIA comes amid broader industry efforts to address the risks of match-fixing and betting-related corruption.

The company, licensed by the UK Gambling Commission and in Cyprus, is also known for its partnerships with football clubs such as Queens Park Rangers and several Cypriot First Division teams.

As CopyBet integrates with IBIA’s network, both organisations reaffirm their commitment to transparency, responsible gambling, and the ongoing fight against betting corruption in both traditional sports and esports markets.
